EXPERIENCE THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME WITH GO GET 'EM SPORTFISHING

STRIPED BASS

Fishing for Striped Bass in Cape Cod Bay is a dream trip for new as well as experienced anglers. Striped Bass can grow up to 70+ pounds and are exhilarating to catch at any size. We begin targeting Striped Bass in late spring and fishing usually remains consistent throughout our entire charter season. We fish for Striped Bass using a multitude of tackle and strategies. Trolling, casting topwater plugs, live bait fishing with mackerel, herring, and pogies, and chumming inshore with chunk bait are all methods we use to catch this amazing species.

BLUEFIN TUNA

The elusive Bluefin Tuna is considered by many anglers to be the pinnacle trophy species throughout the world. Bluefin in our region can range from 100 to 1000 pounds and reach up to 10 feet in length. We typically begin targeting Bluefin in early June and catch them as late in the year as December. The prime time to catch Bluefin starts during mid summer and ends in the late fall months using both live bait and trolling techniques.

SHARK

Massachusetts Bay is home to a multitude of shark species. The main species of shark we target during our trips include Blue, Mako, Porbeagle, and Thresher. We typically target these species by creating a chum slick and deploying both live and dead bait. Mako, Porbeagle, and Thresher sharks all make fantastic table fare. Go Get 'Em Sportfishing has held multiple shark records in the state of Massachusetts throughout the years.

WHALE WATCH

Whale watching is a fantastic way to get your family out on the water and make some memories of a lifetime.  Massachusetts Bay is home to whale species such as the Humpback, Right, Finback, Minke and Pilot.  Dolphins and Porpoises are also regularly seen on our trips.

GROUND FISHING

Targeting groundfish species is a great way to fill the freezer with delicious white meat. On ground fishing trips we target Haddock, Pollock, Redfish, Cod (When the fishery is open), Hake, and Cusk. We use a mix of jigs and baited rigs.

KIDS FISHING

Kids trips usually last three hours and consist of teaching youngsters boating safety, how to catch bait, and targeting species local to Scituate such as Striped Bass and Bluefish and to learn how to catch lobsters and crabs using lobster traps. We recommend this trip for children aged 12 or younger that have little or no fishing or boating experience.
